Cannot setup a hot key trigger — bug?

I want to set up a hot key to trigger a macro. When the button is selected, the typed key is not registered as a hot key. If I type a hot key that's already in use, that macro is triggered. If I type a hot key that is not currently used elsewhere, nothing happens. This is the first time that I've encountered this problem. I upgraded to version 11 and restarted my computer, but the problem persists.

Thanks. I'm not sure what caused the issue, but it might have been another application triggering Secure Input Mode. At the moment everything is working okay again.
