The simplest test:
When this macro fire (every 2 seconds) any existing conflict palette is cancelled 
Misuse or incompatibility of conflict palette / periodic trigger two main features of KM?

If any macro fires, it will cancel a conflict or “for one action” palette.
So having macros firing continuously will be problematic.
It is obviously somewhat dangerous to be in the process of triggering one macro, when something else happens in the background.
Triggers are complex and not so orthogonal…
In the case where I need (or I think I need) periodic trigger I will balance with conflict palette I use a lot.
