Feature request: Dark mode for Clipboard History

I know this has been brought up before, but with Mojave's Dark Mode, the Clipboard History panel is one of the few glaringly bright white screens on my Mac.

Can a dark mode option be added to it? My eyes will love you Peter!

Keyboard Maestro has no support for Dark Mode and will not any time soon.

@peternlewis — Can you consider adding a customizable palette style for Clipboard History?

I don't need full Dark Mode support, I just want Clipboard History to not be so white.

When I look at supporting Dark Mode, I will look at what options there are for the Clipboard History. That said, it was a pain when it was a dark HUD appearance because the text had to be color adjusted so it appeared, and styled text typically expected white backgrounds. It will be interesting to see what happens with Dark Mode and this sort of issue, and until there is some experience with the behaviour built up I have no plans to rush in and make changes. In any event it wont be until 9.0 which is a year away.

If I need to see an optometrist within the next year, I'll send you the bill.

A thought on how to handle it: in the list view, display plain text without formatting. In Quick Look, display the text with formatting, including the background.
