While I like the idea of "indicators", I'd prefer if they'd only be visible if changed from the default. So only actions that do NOT stop/notify on failure would have some "indicator" shown.
Currently, you can VERIFY if your macros notify/stop on failure when you "View -> Stop Editing Macros":
I use a macro to quickly "TOGGLE EDITING MODE" when I want to "skim read" a macro:
