Filter subroutine list

When I add the action Execute Subroutine, I get a list of subroutines that I've made. The problem is, the list is getting longer and longer, and I'm having to scroll now. Is there a way to list only the subroutines within a macro group?

No, but if you prefix your subroutines/macros with common prefixes, it can make it easier to find. Like "[Finder] Show file contents:" or something like that.

Personally, I go to the subroutine/macro and "copy as execute subroutine" or "copy as execute macro". Then paste it into the the macro that needs to call it. And if it's something I use a lot, I add it to Favorite Actions.

That's handy. Thanks.

I thought I'd seen what you’re asking for somewhere in KM. In fact it's in the Execute a Macro action. Here's a screen grab of the one on my system:

You can see that there's lots of ways the list is already filtered.

A question for @peternlewis: could you bring the list the Execute a Subroutine action shows up to the standard of the one shown by the Execute a Macro action? It would certainly make my life easier

I asked for similar about a year ago, but no response…I'd love it if subroutines had the same set of options as did macros.

You know Rob - I always check this forum for further info before I post anything - except for this time  so of course I missed your request...

Still, it's good to nudge nudge sometimes

No problem, I was just adding an additional data point for Peter to consider :).
