Now I want to get another List with all Subfolder, and the the next Subfolder and again and again. Until I´m in the Folder I want to end. After I choose the End Folder I Want to open the Path in the Finder.
Before starting on this -- can I ask why you want to do it like this?
KM has a "Prompt for Folder" action which let's you achieve the same end while using the familiar standard OS "Open..." dialog, complete with all the functionality that includes:
That seems a lot easier than rolling your own version!
But if you do have good reasons to make your own, explaining what they will help inform the solution.
i want to geht a List withe the different folder to choose different Projects.
Not only for Volumes, also for different server. I dont want to use the Mouse only the Keyboard.
The Prompt for Folder does not show me a List where I can choose between all Folder.
I´m working with a lot of different Projects and different names. When I create a new Project I Want that the new Project-Name is also in the List.
The Maco I used, is a Macro from somebody from this Forum and I edited it a little bit to my needed
Yes it does show a list, if you set the window to list mode.
You don't need to use the mouse with that dialog box, you can use the keyboard instead.
I took a stab at it. Try creating a macro like I did below, and see if you like it. I didn't open the Finder at the end because I just work on the hard part first.
You navigate the list as normal, using Return to "open" a folder. When you want to select your target folder use ⌘-Return.
The list uses the "friendly names" format to display just folder names rather than full paths -- to stop you getting lost, the prompt's title shows the path you are currently listing.
Because these are all "normal" KM actions you should have no trouble tweaking the macro to do exactly what you want. You can get help on any of the actions and tokens used on the Wiki -- or just ask here!
I made a similar macro some time ago. It comes set to start from your Documents folder for testing.
Trigger the macro, choose a folder and hit ↵ to dive into it.
If you want to go back one level, hit ⌥↵.
If you hit ↵ with a file selected it will be revealed.
If you want to reveal a folder rather than dive into it, hit ⌘↵.
Honestly though, I'd just get Alfred and call it a day. I've never actually used this macro!
The shortcut keys differ based on which mode your window is in (List, Column, or Icon.)
But, depending on which mode you are in, the keys that seem to navigate are: ↑, ↓, ⌘↑, ⌘↓, →. There's also the Space bar for Quick Look.
In some dialog boxes in Windows (and I think macOS too), Enter/Return is used to select the coloured button, while Space Bar is used to select the outlined button.
