Generate long press with Apple Script?

Shame they didn’t also provide the actual AppleScript for you, given they know it can be done!

Do you have to use AppleScript?

Keyboard Maestro has a native action for press and hold. See wiki:

Hey @martin thanks for this - I missed it because I didn't check the gear menu. I didn't realize it was dynamic. This works!
