Great documentation on Remote triggers

This particular line from the documentation is both accurate and delightfully "Keyboard Maestroish":

Clearly there are some serious security issues with this, so you should use a lot of caution when you allow any macro to be executed with a Remote trigger.

In other words, caveat scriptor.

Absolutely. Keyboard Maestro is a tool that lets you do things, including highly dangerous things (recursively delete a directory???). You need to a) have good backups, because everyone should! and b) use due caution and care in what you decide to do.

The Remote Trigger is incredibly useful. I've tied my HealthChecks.io checks to a Remote Trigger, so when my backups don't run, I get an SMS and a message on my screen like this:

If someone manages to intercept the code, all they can do is annoyingly display messages on my Mac. So the security implications are negligible.

But absolutely, you should consider "what could happen", when you make any macro, or when you do anything on the Internet!
