How do I execute a macro while in a "Prompt from List" prompt?

I use Keyboard Maestro for text expansions. I'd like to use them while I'm in a "Prompt form List" macro. In other words, I'd like to run a macro within another macro. Can this be done? Right now, while the prompt is active, the "This string is typed:" trigger is not intercepted by Keyboard Maestro.

Unfortunately, as far as I'm aware, Keyboard Maestro cannot do text expansions in it's own dialogs.

Hi, @kestrelcreek. Your are correct: the This string is typed trigger does not fire within the GUI generated by Prompt With List. I've seen that same limitation with Prompt For User Input. I'm not sure about dialogs created with Custom HTML Prompt.

You may have already discovered that This hot key triggers do fire in these dialogs.

If you must have This string is typed capability, one nice alternative is Typinator.
