Ignoring found image in KM Editor when macro is selected

Here’s one I find funny. Admittedly it occurs in only a very specific obscure situation.

  • I have a macro to click a found image.
  • The image is very small and so appears at full size in the image box in which t has been pasted.
  • The image is very small and so appears at full size in the image box
in which t has been pasted.
  • The macro is active in only one application.
  • The KM Editor is open.,
  • The macro’s application is frontmost.
  • None of the windows of the application overlap the KM Editor window.
  • The mage appears in the front window of the application.

When I type the keystroke that executes the macro, KM finds the image in the KM Editor window instead of in my application’s window!

OK, so I can close the editor, hide it, move my window over the editor, etc. It’s not a big deal, though the problem wasn’t immediately obvious. It seemed worth tossing into the Wiki if only for its humor value.

You should be able to avoid this by telling the Action where to look for the image:

Tx. This is a version 7 feature, apparently, and I’m still on 6, which is why I didn’t see it. At least it validates that feature’s being added!

Aha. I stumbled across the recommendation to close the KM Editor before doing a Found Image search here

You don't generally need to close the editor while working on the macro.

Simply undisclose the action if necessary.

This is only really an issue for images that are small enough to appear unscaled in the image well.
