Indication of KM macro in progress

I typically use Iconaholic rotate status menu for a quick look to alert me that a macro is in progress.
I am working in apps via citrix and have to maximize my screen by making the menu bar hide at all times.

Is there another way to set up a small/non-intrusive indicator that KM macro is in progress on the top of the screen so I can monitor it w/o needing to bring down the menu bar?

Not really, no.

You could perhaps display something yourself when the macro starts and remove it when it finishes, but you would have to do it for each macro, and if the macro aborted it would be left visible.

Thank you, Peter.

I found the easiest solution is to use BTT: Bartender controversy, tutorial on how to manage menubar status items via BTT - Tutorials - BetterTouchTool Community
