Instant Themes for Script Editor

[I previously posted this topic as “Instant _Styles_”, but it should have been _Themes_, so I am reposting as such.]

Here‘s how to hack up a themes capability for Script Editor. The colors and fonts (and just one other detail) are stored (unintuitively) in ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.applescript.plist. Quit Script Editor if it is open, then in the shell:

cd ~/Library/Preferences
mv com.apple.applescript.plist com.apple.applescript-themename.plist
ln -fs com.apple.applescript-stylename.plist com.apple.applescript.plist

Whenever you want a new theme, duplicate the current (or another) theme file, rename it, and link the new file to com.apple.applescript.plist as above. Open Script Editor. Make format changes. Exit Script Editor to save changes. Poof! A new theme. Switch themes by relinking.
