Is it possible to open a webview from a macro?

What I’m wondering about is if it’s possible for a macro to open a webview without going to a browser?
It would be awesome if this were an action where you could populate it with HTML from a file or text directly, but I’m not sure if it’s doable even as a shell script command or via Applescript.

Does anyone know the answer this one?

Thanks in advance

My first thought is that is might be possible to use KM to launch something using

or

http://fluidapp.com

This should do what you’re asking. Sal over at MAC OS X Automation has a page on creating website popups with Automator. The page is here: http://www.macosxautomation.com/automator/websitepopup/index.html

There are several ways to run Automator workflows or services from KM.

Hey James,

Thanks. I had completely forgotten Automator could do that.

I tested the demo. It works and is easy to make changes to.

You can feed it a remote URL or a file URL.

Wow, thanks a ton for this! I’m going to start playing around with this, but I think it’s going to do what I want

Thanks again,
