It only works when executing it having Finder

Hi all,

For years I have used a set of macros to launch some applications using hot keys. For instance:

  • Finder: ctrl+f
  • Iterm2: ctrl+i
  • 1Password: ctrl+shift+1

So to launch iterm2 I had to press ctrl+f, ctrl+i. Now I have a new keyboard where I can have the hyperkey: ⌃⌥⇧⌘. Then I'd like to be able to launch iterm2 pressing hyperkey+i (⌃⌥⇧⌘i) from any application. I have tried with different options:

  • Activate application
  • Open application

But it does not work, it only works when executing it having Finder as the current application. Is it possible to launch any application from any other application different than Finder?

Cheers!

Arnau

Hey Arnau,

See the Activate a Specific Application action.

Put it in a GLOBAL macro group.
