Keep Safari Blank Tab Macro (v10.2)
I use dark mode and I always have Safari open.
The moving, bright window from a Safari page is very distracting when working on something else.
I wrote this macro to automatically keep an all blank (black) screen as the front tab in the Safari window when Safari deactivates.
If there is not a blank, the macro will create it and immediately return to the application you switched to.
You will want to change the first ‘If Then Else’ action conditions to suit your needs. The variable ‘PauseNow’ is activated/deactivated by a Stream Deck button.
Both macros are listed below.
Notes:
Set Safari prefs for ‘New tab opens w/Empty Page’.
AppleScript was written by ChatGPT, I had to add last line for output to the variable.
