KM is causing Sequoia to speak numbers. But only numbers.
All VoiceOver and Accessibility>Speech options are turned off.
I conclude that it is KM because when I exit KM it no longer happens.
It is a new installation on a new MBP M4. It did not happen on my old MBP.
Bug, feature, setting?
Thanks
Follow up: Found it. It's a built-in "Example" macro that was somehow getting triggered. Not sure how it was getting triggered, as the trigger is not anything I would ever have cause to type. Something like /d.
It's called, oddly enough, "speak numbers." I knee-capped it.
All is quiet.
Lesson learned: Don't enable the built in macro group called "Examples." It hijacks a lot of otherwise harmless keystroke combinations.
