KM shortcuts taking 80 seconds to respond

M3 MBP 36GB. KM Version 11.0.3

KM shortcuts taking 80 seconds to respond. Is there some global setting.

Background that lead me figure out exactly what's happening. I just timed two responses and they were ±2 seconds from 1:20. Below is just how I got there and probably doesn't add anything.

I thought maybe something had been running and slowing down the response, but now realize it's just KM that is taking up to a minute to respond. Most common use is app switching.

I'll switch using Cmd-tab to another app after using KM keyboard shortcut to switch to an app and 30–60 (now known to be 80) seconds later the KM keyboard shortcut switch happens.

I kept looking at Activity Monitor to try and see if anything was happening. This has been going on for a week or so.

I must have set some global delay in KM.

The only thing that comes to mind is the Set Action Delay action where you can set the delay for all macros. You could search your All Macros smart group to find any macros using this action and check that none of them are set to permanently.

If you create another macro that doesn't involve app switching (say one the just displays a text box or progress bar), is there any delay?

If not, how many apps/windows do you have open on how many spaces?

Yes. I have a shortcut that pops up three different date formats to be pasted and it has the same 80 sec. delay.

And your @griffman Quick Web Search which I use all the time.

I've searched for delay and about 30 items showed up. Not quite sure how to find the offending

Unless I'm mistaken, I think the only way is to look at all of them, but fortunately KM highlights the actions that are matched in your search. So you'll want to go through each of them and look for any that have been set to permanently...

and then change it/them to for this macro instead.

Thank you. Pointing out the highlight helped.

I went through and deleted about 15 macros that I didn't recognize and the problem is gone. Not obvious to me why any of them should have caused a problem. Just hope I don't try to do something and it doesn't work anymore. Guess I should have done some kind of backup. I imagine it's in TimeMachine somewhere.

I must have tried something a week or so ago and forgot about it.
