I was wondering if there was an elegant way to have the Stream Deck profile change when editing midi in the piano roll - not in the standalone window but the docked 'tab' in the bottom of the arrange window?
I asked Chat GPT and it suggested using the image recognition feature to look for the unique UI on the piano roll by periodically scanning it every 1-2 seconds. Which seems doable but a little hacky/maybe resource intensive? Would really value any pointers on getting this setup!
The condition and switching bit is easy, if you use the switcher submacro from the original post.
The trickier bit is how to trigger it.
I have never used a periodic trigger as I don't like the idea in principle, but it might be your best bet in this instance. Either that or performing a check on literally every mouse click. I'm not sure which would be more resource-intensive; it depends how click-happy you are, I suppose!
