Macro for automatic posting on Facebook - help

I created a macro that automatically posts to Facebook - I have a small problem: it randomly stops posting. What's the problem? Please take a look at my macro and let me know. How can I improve it?

The macro's purpose is to:

  1. open the link to the Facebook group I belong to, one by one.
  2. Click "Write a post..."
  3. paste the post content.
  4. Click "Publish."
and repeat this process until all groups are open.

This is not likely someone else can figure out, you need to see which step fails.

Does the link get opened? Does the “Write a post” link get clicked? Does the content het pasted? Does the “Publish” get clicked?

The most likely cause of failure would be timing - the macro trying to do something before the web page is ready.

If the macro stops, you can check the Engine.log file to see why.

I think you should open the KM Debugger on the screen and watch each statement as your macro runs. Then you can see exactly when it stops, which will probably tell you what the problem is.

But if I had to look for a possible cause just from reading it here, I would have suspicions about the option "and drag to." Can you explain what that dragging action is for? What exactly are you trying to do with that?

In addition to what @peternlewis said about timings, Click at Found Image can often fail because social media, including Facebook, is constantly tweaking its UI. A slight color change here, half a point type size difference there, and so on, and suddenly the image you’ve told KM to look for is no longer part of the Facebook user interface.

Every week I share my radio show notes on social media using KM macros for FB pages, Twitter, Bluesky, yada yada yada. My FB one is very similar to yours. Every couple of weeks–sometimes every week–I have to tweak the Click at Found Image actions.
