Macro in Mail Won't Release Keyboard

macOS 11.2 (MBP with M1 chip)
KM Version 9.2

I have a macro in Mail.app that opens the 'Mailbox' -> 'Move to' menu that I trigger with alt+space. This worked fine on my old early 2015 MBP but on my new M1 MBP it opens but in many cases then seems not to release the keyboard. Any keyboard presses do not have any effect and the Mail.app UI does not respond to mouse clicks either except for the scroll bars. It takes some time and/or a restart of Mail.app to fix.

Does anyone have an idea what the reason for that might be? Thanks.

Keyboard Maestro back to version 4.x should operate fine in general on Big Sur and Keyboard Maestro itself has no known problems with Big Sur. I am a little confused because it worked fine on my old Intel Mac.

I understand.

But Apple Silicon + Big Sur is a very new animal. We're lucky they're as compatible as they are.
