If this refers to what you demonstrated in your video, you tried to trigger the hotkey with the same hotkey—but Keyboard Maestro overwrites the original hotkey with your manually made hotkey.
Additionally, I believe you are still misunderstanding Airy's explanation about actions. You are using Trigger Macros by Hot Key action, but you don't have a macro with that hotkey—and if you did, it would overwrite your application's hotkey since you're using the same hotkey for both. What you want instead is Type a Keystroke action, but you will need to be in the application you want to use hotkey in. If you try to run the macro from the Keyboard Maestro editor, it will type your keystroke in the Keyboard Maestro editor.
