Make Application Switcher "Persistent" (ie, open until an app icon is clicked)

Hi there,

I'm using the iPad to control macOS while making music. Want to create a shortcut that will launch the app switcher (like it way more than the app launcher) and keep it open until I click a given application (or click outside the window). Does anyone please know if this possible?

If the trigger for the macro has no modifier keys, then the Application Switcher will remain open until a selection is made (or it loses focus).

Thanks Peter, changing the trigger from a global shortcut with modifier keys to MIDI (using Palette Gear hardware) worked great!

BTW, is it possible to display the application switcher on all displays at the same time? Didn't find this in preferences nor in the documentation so assuming it can't be done.
