Trying to have reliable Home + End keys on Mac drives me crazy! It takes different keys in different apps, and sometimes there’s no reliable way (eg Ctrl+A & Ctrl+E tend to work by paragraph rather than by line 
)…
I have F11 and F12 set up to be home/end keys as follows:
- Cocoa apps: Cmd+Left or Cmd+Right
- Other apps: Home or End key
I have no trouble in Word, but in Cocoa apps I get very unreliable results.
- often pressing my Home/End shortcut moves only by WORD. This seems to be more likely to happen if I just typed something in the middle of a line??
- in such cases, I can press and HOLD the key to get actual Home/End function!
Is there any way to get a key to act consistently as Home or End in Cocoa apps?
