Middle mouse drag = left drag+spacebar?

I’d like to move around the canvas in Curio using middle mouse button drag, the app does it with spacebar+left mouse drag. I have not been able to figure out how to get the middle mouse button drag to fire off the spacebar+left mouse drag. I’ve tried with BetterTouchTool as well, but no joy.

Any clues gratefully accepted.

Navigation using a trackpad works in the standard MacOS way of scrolling X-Y when using two fingers. If you have an Apple “Magic Mouse”, then I think you would be able to use the same gestures. Otherwise, I wonder if your mouse uses (or could use) driver software that could be set up to provide similar gestural control.

For various reasons, I am usually disappointed when software is hardwired to use non-standard control methods. However, since the developer of Curio is very helpful and responsive to feedback, it might well be useful to raise the issue with him. There may even already be built-in options which we are not aware of.

Unfortunately, BTT doesn’t offer the two-finger drag as an option for triggering from the middle mouse button.

Is there a way to use Keyboard Maestro to trigger the spacebar+drag from the middle mouse button?

Maybe this should be a feature request for user-defined modifier keys in KM?

There will be problems combining simulated (KM simulating "space bar held down") and real (you moving the mouse) events.

Doesn't Curio let you right click-drag to move the canvas?

I dug out a mouse and right-click acts the same as control–click, and brings up a menu.

@anamorph I really don’t think this essential functionality in Curio should require third-party software (whether it be KM, BTT or whatever) and that contacting the developer, as I suggested above, will be the way forward.
