My `Editor.log` File Shows KBM Looking for Things That Don't Exist

My Editor.log file appears to filling up with megabytes of errors that make no sense to me.

The above two errors, looking for a Plug In named Wrap Text and looking for something from 1Password (which I do not have) have been repeating hundreds of times, at the end of the log above, the Wrap Text error is repeated 16 times in 5 seconds and 480 times in 10 minutes, according to the log's summarizing.

Is this serious? Should I just flush the file so it doesn't get any bigger? How can I stop KBM from wasting CPU cycles and disk space this way?

What can I look for that would shed light on the issue?

Whenever this error message in the log file has occurred for me it has always been caused by one of my macros that still refers (for some reason) to the plug in in question. In other words, I've uninstalled a third party plug in and forgotten to remove all uses of it in my macros.

So I advise that you search for an action called Wrap Text in all your macros and when you find them, delete those actions.

Here's what I found.

None of those are "my" macros. They are all things downloaded from the forum or that came with the KBM upgrade. These are the macro groups:

• KMET Edit as Text v1.0 (2 macros) (disabled now to test)
• Markdown (9 macros)
• KMFAM Favorite Actions and Macros (1 macro) (disabled now to test)
• KM (1 macro) (already disabled)
• Test (1 macro) (already disabled)

None of these were macros that I created.

More confusingly, when I look at the macros, generally no actions in the macros are highlighted as containing the search pattern. So that gives me nowhere to look for possible culprits.

Usually when searching for something in the KBM editor, the found actions within the macro are highlighted. For instance, in the above list of macro results, the "KMFAM Macros Installer v1.4" macro is one of those found. It's in the "KMFAM Favorite Actions and Macros" group. When I open that macro for editing, in this case on of the actions is indeed highlighted:

But when I copy the text of that script to an editor to search within it, there is no "Wrap Text" to be found, independent of capitalization/case.

Also curious, the first of these error messages in the Engine.log file was:

For right now, I'm going to keep the Engine.log console window open so that I can see the errors as they happen. For instance, as I've been writing this, I got:

Which talks about the exact same error that you’re getting and the thread identifies the origin of the error. You’d benefit from looking at it!

Obviously locating the reference to the missing plug in isn’t necessarily straightforward.

Yes, that looks like exactly the same thing. And it's from 2016, so my recent upgrade to KBM 10.2 is obviously just coincidence.

It is entirely possible that I imported the Markdown macros at that point, to try them out, and didn't get as far as reading the caveat in the macros that the Wrap Text plugin needed to be installed. I do recall that I only just recently discovered how much usefulness was included in the Window > Macro Library list, even though I'm a couple of years into using KBM.
