Named clipboards: how to change font and background color, font type, size etc

If you have the time and patience, could you add in settings → clipboard → right click on named clipboard → duplicate ie ability to duplicate named clipboards.
I find that it would be less work to edit (and use the formatting of) an existing clipboard rather than create a new one.

Just select the desired entry, then Command-C (Copy) and then (+).

A newly created named clipboard in the Keyboard Maestro preferences takes on the value in the current system clipboard.

thank you @peternlewis . I wonder if the grey background issue suggests that named clipboards, a gem in my opinion, are under utilized

Difficult to say. I an more concerned about them being overused (when they are used for plain text instead of a variable).
