When I upgraded from 6.4.8 to 7.0.3 (in 2016), I got a warning of stability problems of 7.0.3 on Yosemite, and went back to 6.4.8, which I am still using on 10.10.5. Have these stability issues been resolved? What is the newest version of KM that is recommended for use on Yosemite 10.10.5? Thanks.
@Etaoinsh I am still using Yosemite 10.10.5 (we are at least two 
) and here KM 8.0.5 is running flawlessly thanks to Peter.

I don’t know what stability problems you are referring to, but the recommended version of Keyboard Maestro for 10.10.5 is the current version, currently 8.0.5.
My note in my logbook says that after I installed 7.0.3, “KM 7.0.3 warns Yosemite has stability problems — roll back to 6.4.8 for now.” I will give 8.0.5 a try. Thank you, alain and peternlewis.
