I'm running Catalina on one Mac and High Sierra on another and I share KM macros.

One approach is to use either an IF/THEN or Switch Action based on the macOS version. For an example, see:

Get macOS version then use if else

The Switch or Case action should work well. Or you could also use the If Then Else action.
