How do I open or show an app? I keep getting a message that I should use the activate specific action. I don’t see that. All I want is to have a quick way to trigger pastepal. For some reason I can’t figure out the shortcut on pastepal
Application pallete doesn’t show menubar apps no pastepal, raycast antinote, etc. I’ve already got the built in triggers for those 2.
There are disabilities I deal with but nothing that I can explain in short, and I deal with it all the time so I learn on my own. It’s complicated
The Application Switcher shows only the sort of applications that one might open manually, such as text editors, Web browsers and so on, and not menu bar items.
I haven’t used Pastepal, but I see from its Web site that it can be accessed “with keyboard shortcut or from menu bar”. Accessing menu bar items in Keyboard Maestro is usually possible but it if you want your macro to call up Pastepal, it would most likely be easier to use the Type Keystroke action and set it to whatever key you normally use to bring up Pastepal.
You might like to know—if you didn’t already—that Keyboard Maestro can also be used to interact with the clipboard in various ways, without the need always for other utilities.

For most users, KM’s Editor soon becomes easy to use with practice, but it does follow quite a “graphical” approach which I should imagine would present challenges for assistive technologies such as screen readers, for example.
