Will KM accept .5 seconds the same way as 0.5 seconds? Is .5 (or any number without adding the 0) valid?
When I add the action it defaults to 1.5 seconds. When dealing with this action, unless there's something very specific, what's a good starting point to avoid KM missing some actions or keystrokes?
I just made a few macros that click on successive locations on open temporary palettes. Unless I added pauses between the several "actions", the string of clicks would not "take".
Not sure if this is something peculiar to the particular application. Anyway, I needed a value of 0.4 seconds in order to make the string of actions work. Any less and I would get erratic results.
Before I got a "fast" Mac I used to have to use 2 or more seconds pause when activating (i.e. running/loading) applications prior to doing the next KM action.
With my much faster Mac, I rarely have to allow more than 0.2 seconds.
The point is - there is no hard and fast rule as it depends on your Mac, what it's doing, how heavily loaded it is, whether there's any network or Internet lag, the weather, etc. etc.
True. It's always a matter of testing the action and see how it behaves.
I've been using a lot of Pause Until and then I add a certain part of the window that's unique (image) so I don't have to depend so much on those unpredictable scenarios.
So far so good...
