Photos v10 Sidebar and Menus

macOS Sequoia 15 includes Photos 10.
Apple has rearranged the sidebar, putting Imports at the bottom. For those of us who use Imports, this is a major negative change.
The user cannot reorder items in the Photos sidebar. And the Photos keyboard shortcuts for the sidebar only work for the first few items from the top.

I have tried to create a KM macro to choose
View > Collections > Imports
but with no luck. It seems the Photos menus are not standard.
Recording also doesn't work.
And trying to create a keyboard shortcut in System Settings doesn't accept any input beyond app name.

Has anyone played around with KM and the new Photos?

That is some ugly stuff there, that Photos 10 ... no way I'm upgrading my main Mac until/unless that's improved—a lot! (Like you, I use Imports much of the time.)

There's not even an AppleScript dictionary to look at; Photos 10 has zero AppleScript support!

However, I was able to make it work by manually navigating the View menu:

Imports Macro (v11.0.3)

Imports.kmmacros (3.4 KB)

You may have to add some delays before/after the Return key, but this worked quite well in my testing.

Wow! That works, and is an entirely different approach than I tried.
Well done.

I was able to simplify the macro by faking a submenu selection in the first call, which let me get rid of the first set of typed letters—I replaced the previously-posted macro with the new version in my original reply.

It seems a bit quicker, too, not having to type/Return the top-level menu.
