Hey Peter, thanks for the detailed explanation. This does appear to be the case. Running my demo macro below a dozen or so times, it appears that anytime the set variable
action takes longer than .5 seconds, it returns “1” instead of the actual number of Finder items. Not a big deal, as I don’t imagine there are a lot of users that execute macros on such a large number of Finder items, but I have a couple of macros that do, (for instance: my macro to tag files that are used in KM macros, so the ability to adjust the timeout would be nice.

Macro-Notes
- Macros are always disabled when imported into the Keyboard Maestro Editor.
- The user must ensure the macro is enabled.
- The user must also ensure the macro's parent macro-group is enabled.
