Regarding the Logic Pro vs X thing. I wonder if it's to do with having previously had X installed and then updating to a version which dropped the X?
I did a fresh install of my whole system in early 2021 just to strip back the studio Mac to the slimmest install I could get away with. I think that when I put Logic back on, it was 10.6 at least, which I believe is when they dropped the X.
Good to know that it works for you regardless and that KM doesn't have an issue with it on your end.
