Screenshot one Key

Hello

New user here , I have searched for this but can not seem to find a definitive answer.

I use a MBP and need to do many screenshots but at the same time I do not want to use the standard keyboard shortcut to do this and would prefer if possible to map one key on my international Spanish keyboard to do this as I work. The small finger on my right hand is perfect for this as it is almost always resting on a key that I do not use.

My question then is "is it possible to remap one key on the main keyboard to operate an instant screenshot please." If it is how would I go about making this happen?

Please see photo for the key I would like to remap.

Thank you very much for any help.

Neil.

Just use the key you want as a trigger without modifiers. But the original character is no longer there, except with fn.

You should be able to use that key as a hot key trigger.

The easiest way to do a regular system screenshot would be to use the screenshot utility with Execute a Shell Script action and a command like:

screencapture -ci

You can look up the possible arguments for screencapture by searching for it in the Terminal Help menu.
