Search dates and amounts

Attempting to search variable/clipboard for the following:

• First date
• Last date
• Every dollar amount found (maybe even add them too if possible)

Date Format: MM/DD/YYYY
Amount Format: (symbol)xx.xx.

Tried using examples on http://regexlib.com with example macros but I think I am implementing it wrong or something so any help would be awesome. Thanks!
