To be sure you the way you select a menu is just not select an action and just a top level menu. Show and Select menu item are the same command and that is what I have been doing for a couple years now to show a menu and leave it open but not sure if that is the inteneded way to do it.

The only way I see to close the menu is to run the keystroke of escape? Is there another stop the dropdown window from showing?

Strangely Cubase 9 now is reporting "Is Not Marked" only when it is marked. I guess it is totally up to the developer to report how it is marked and that is not an OS thing.
If this forum ever goes away or is lost, I am in trouble. It is crazy how many times I have returned to things I have once learned in this forum.
