I'm currently sending the following command to our Grandstream VOIP phone system via filemaker pro's 'insert from URL' script step. I can dial numbers, enable the headset and hang up the line via different 'commands'.
I am out of my league here and my knowledge base, I don't know exactly what its doing other than it works...... I pick up the extension to affect based on the IP of the acting computer.
Is there a way to send the above command from KM directly, and not have to be in filemaker?
I appreciate any feedback.
Troy
It looks like it's just launching a URL. You need to know what $Phone_IP contains (most likely an IP address). You can use the KM action Open URL to launch the URL. It'll probably open in a browser window. If you don't want the browser window, I'm not sure how to do that, but other people here could probably help with that.
Ooh... LOL, really... !!!
so back at you I say
OOh, (notice the 2 capital O's.. lol) http://10.0.2.13/cgi-bin/api-send_key?passcode=1234&keys=HEADSET
in the get a url step picks up my phone headset without opening a browser...!!!!!
WOOF!!! un real....
now I can set it up to do the following in ANY app on my computer.
F1 will
-If the line is 'used', hang it up.
-If the copy command is available, copy the number, dial it and enable the headset
incredible...
now I don't have to reach 12 inches to enable the headset and also to hang up....
pretty lazy eh? lol....
THANX DAN!

That sounds really cool, and no, it doesn't sound lazy at all! These are the kinds of things we all love to have automated. I mean, what good is a computer if it can't do stuff like this?
