How would I set up a Shortcut to set cursor in Macmail find field?

I would think the built-in keyboard shortcut of Command-Option-F would work well enough, or is there something more needed which makes that insufficient?

 But, that does not work anymore on the newer operating system. Looking for a way to do it in Keyboard Maestro.
