Show a Palette by default in one app, on trigger in another app

I have a palette with many KM macros that I want showing by default in one app. AOK.
But I also want to see that palette in another app only when I trigger it.

This seems likely to have been asked before, but I couldn't find the answer.

Assuming you're using Keyboard Maestro 8, you should be able to use the Show Palette of Macros action to make a new macro that can be triggered in the other app. Alternatively, you could adjust the palette's window activation settings to only show automatically for one app, and add a hotkey trigger that can be used in the other app (making sure that the palette is available to both applications, of course).
