I'm a fan of the KM App Switcher. However something I like about the native macOS App Switcher is that I can hold down Command + Tab to advance through the apps. This doesn't appear to work in the KM App Switcher; I have to press Tab repeatedly to get to the app I want.
Is this the expected behaviour? Is there any setting to enable key-repeat?
That's an interesting question. If you open up the macro that triggers the window, which is in your Switcher Group, called Activate Application Switcher, you will see its triggers and its options. There are about a dozen different triggers to choose from. I tried switching the triggers from "is pressed" to "is down" and that seems to change the behaviour to the way you want it.
Basically, it triggers whenever the key is "down", rather than "pressed", but I'm not knowledgeable enough to give an authoritative explanation as to why this works (I can't explain the little pause after the first trigger) so we will have to wait for someone to explain that, if that's important to you.
Thanks, that does the trick! Unfortunately it cycles through the apps rather fast and the macOS Settings slider for "Key repeat rate" doesn't appear to make a difference here.
I'm glad you tried the obvious fix. I have a suspicion that the auto-repeat in this case is implemented within the KM Engine, and not in macOS. Bu the good news is that KM does have some settings that let you change the behaviour of certain things like this. If you look through this page you might find a setting that changes the speed of that auto-repeat. If it isn't in here, you might be able to ask PeterNLewis for this. It seems like a very reasonable request. He might add it if you ask him. I agree the default speed is too fast.
