Is there a way (smart group, applescript, etc) to track recently changed Variables?

I created this macro to track global variable usage. Every global variable is tracked, both in terms of the time of each change and frequency of changes. The tracking is done by a 30 minute timer that checks for changes to every variable. If there is a change detected, it records the TIME() of the change and adds 1 to the "count" of changes for each variable. You can change the timer to some other value than 30 minutes.
