Sometimes these triggers can do more things than it appears at first glance. For example, the Folder trigger can use the creation of a file in a folder as a trigger signal from another application. In some cases this could be by the KM macro writer's design, or it could be a nice side effect of how some apps work. I once used this very signal to "detect sound above certain decibel level" using an app that created an audio file in a folder whenever it detected a sound above a certain level. I wouldn't have had to do that if KM had a built-in volume level trigger. (Hint, hint.)
