Vivaldi Copy Link Address does not work as it used to

Hello dear people.

My current browser Vivaldi (version 6.9) no longer works the way it did for years, and unfortunately I can't find any help in the Vivaldi forum. Previously, I could always right-click a hit in Google or Bling and use “Copy Link Address” to copy a clean URL to the clipboard. But the command no longer does that. Instead, it now copies an eternally long google address with the URL at the end. Does anyone know what I need to change in the settings or does anyone have a KM macro that does this? I have tried the various similar-sounding macros here in the forum to no avail.
Many thanks Matze

I don't have Vivaldi so I plugged your question into ChatGPT. Here's what it said back: (which I paraphrased)

  1. Try disabling your Vivaldi extensions, if you use any.
  2. Try adding extensions like ClearURLs or uBlockOrigin which remove tracking parameters from URLs.
  3. Disable Link Trakcing under Settings / Privacy & Security.
  4. Try using Incognito mode in Vivaldi.
  5. Check if Vivaldi has changed its settings under Settings / Mouse or Settings / Appearance that affect link handling.

Hallelujah, Airy.
That actually worked. I think it was the ClearURLs extension that changed it again. Great! Thank you a thousand times! Please pass the thanks on to ChatGPT
