What does Orange type signify in a "Set variable to Calculation"

When editing a "Set variable to calculation" step the "to" box often starts out with red type to indicate an error and then goes black when the (syntax) error is fixed. this is very useful.
Today I Looked at an older macro (about 2 years) that still works and noticed that one such field (and also an If calculation) had Orange text. eg

What does this signify? Apologies if this is in the manual/wiki but I can't formulate the question to find it.

Per the wiki...

If the calculation would currently fail because an input variable does not currently have a numeric value, that variable will show up in ORANGE.

When I'm looking for information in the wiki, I generally use one of two methods:

  1. A web search (not forum search). For example, in this case, I would search for:

Set Variable to Calculation Keyboard Maestro wiki

  2. The contextual help supplied with the action:

Thank you! And the search tip is very useful too.
