Wish list: ability to expand named clipboards in the preferences window to facilitate editing

I have a collection of template emails containing text and annotated images, saved as named clipboards (thank you @Nige_S). To edit them I have to copy paste the contents into / from a RTFD file. It would. be nice if there were some way of expanding them in preferences → clipboards and editing them directly within the clipboard.
thank you

I'm not sure I totally understand. I can change the contents of name to clipboards it. Sounds like you specifically need all the formatting that you're pulling from the RTFD file and are not able to pull that information out.

I wonder if you could add a disable action to the macro and just have it open the file so you could get to it quickly. I'm not sure how you're referencing the RTFD file but you're probably aware that you can option click on the purple folder if it's a file path and a macro and Keyboard Maestro. Probably a little bit more time-consuming and that's what you're trying to save your time with by just opening it up in your default editor immediately. That would be cool if you could command click on the purple folder and have it open in your default application.

I am pretty sure the following is not what you are after but thought I would include it anyway since I realize a bit more after I made it and it might help someone else.

Edit Clipboards

It's nice that Keyboard Maestro will even let you rename the clipboard and keep it referenced to it, like it does with macros.
Named Clipboard

thank you for your post. Variables are text only. I only used named clipboard because the emails are text + images

Absolutly makes sense. I just used that quickly but could have used the paste styled text action to demo it. I don't know the details behind having to reference RTFD files for your replies but I am sure you know that named clipboards can have styled text and you can use actions for these things as well. I am guessing that you are referencing these files because other apps are also referencing them and you would like to have it in one location. It sounds interesting whatever you are doing.
