15.7.4 (24G508) Open PDF via context menu

Today I installed 15.7.4 (24G508) and noticed that I can no longer open a downloaded PDF in Skim via the context menu. macOS prevents this.

Does anyone know a workaround or macro? Of course, I can always start Skim and then use Cmd+O, but the context menu is convenient. I’d also be happy to set Skim as default app for PDF, but that’s neither possible with 15.7.4 (24G508) (not sure if it was possible before).

Prevents how? Any message given?

It might just require a trip to System Settings -> Privacy & Security, either to allow Skim to execute or to grant "Files & Folders" or "Full Disk Access".

It was one specific pdf and hasn’t happened since then. I’ll keep my eye on it. Thanks for your response!
