A New Way to Trigger, Raycast instead of Hot Keys

Hey guys just wanted to share this with the Keyboard Maestro community. Recently, I started using the Raycast extension for keyboard maestro instead of using hotkeys to trigger. I really love it because I don't have to spend time thinking about what hotkey to use for my actions. I simply invoke the Raycast extension with a set hotkey and then type the km macro name or navigate to it on the pop-up. I made a little example video of it in action here.

I clicked on your link to your video and the video was way too dark to be able to see. Maybe I'm just getting too old, but it was very dark. Is there any way to make it brighter?

It takes a long time for me to trust software enough to use it. From reading about this software, I sense that they are taking quite a bit of your data back to their HQ for processing.

You know there is a built in Trigger Macro by Name action which basically does the same thing?

Raycast is pretty trusted, very popular right now. I've been loving the combination of keyboard maestro with it. Sorry you couldn't see the video, did you try pressing play? On my end the video is dark but then it brightens up when play is pressed.

I did not know about that! I love the ui of the Raycast extension, but I'll definitely check this out as well!

Hey @peternlewis I tried it just now, but it didn't display all the available macros under it, I had to type something in the search. Is there a way to get it to display all the macros underneath the search bar when the 'trigger macro by name' is invoked? That would make it basically the same as the Raycast extension. I like to search, but it would also be nice to navigate to it for some circumstances.

Nevermind, I think I just answered my own question! by setting to show 'active macros' now they show up underneath it. Rad!!!!
