In the process of writing a macro for:

Open 3 Finder windows for autoconverting pics Macro (v10.2)

QUESTION:

Is there another way to activate a Finder SmartSearch Window, except for recording the mouse click – which does work!

Hey Omar,

What do you mean?

  • A new search window?
  • Convert the front Finder window into search window?
  • Use an existing smart-search folder?

Please be more specific and show screenshots if needed.

I want to access an existing smart-search folder.
So I mean to open it, and now I found it!

It is here:

" The Saved Searches location is where Smart Folders are saved, and it is found in the Library folder on your Mac. To find it, hold down the Option key while clicking the Finder Go menu and Library appears – select it .

Smart-search folders are very handy.

Hey Omar,

Here's a convenient macro for doing that.

  • Run the macro to get a Prompt With List dialog of the available saved searches.
    • You must have one or more saved searches...
