Any reason there's no version 11.1 and 11.2 (yet)?

Looking through the update trend of the last six versions of Keyboard Maestro, there's been a x.1 and x.2 version. The current Keyboard Maestro version is 11.0.4.

Any reason for this change this time? I just started using the software since February this year so I'm curious. Is a v12 still planned for the end of year (following trend, there's a major version every 2 years)?

It was said several months ago on the forum, that there will be no new major KM version this fall.

Keyboard Maestro is very mature now, so the development cycle has slowed.

Traditionally I have said “It is our informal policy to have a paid major upgrade roughly once every 12 to 24 months”, but if you plot major version cycles, version 3➤4 and 4➤5 were about 18 months, but more recently major versions have been 24+ months, and this cycle is likely to be even longer.

Major versions require major features, and with a product that is as mature and evolved as Keyboard Maestro, major features are hard to come by.

There will be an 11.1 release at some point soonish (for some definition of soon), which, among other things has some anti-squircle icon code for Tahoe.

But I don't comment on future releases or future timings generally and mostly all you'll ever see me post in regards to future is “fixed/added for the next version” in regards to occasional bugs or features. To commit to anything more than that is to pretend to know the future which I don’t.
