Hello,
With the help of @gglick I created a markdown palette to be always displayed when I use the drafts app. It worked very nicely which was very practical for a while and no longer.
The palette should always be always displayed when Drafts is active until escape key pressed.
I must have bungled at some point while playing around with the macros, but now can't find the problem.
Below the palette settings, and one of the macros.
thanks very much
Hey @ronald,
Does pressing the Escape key again not bring it back? It does for me with identical settings. But in case that doesn't work for you for whatever reason, try adding an "Activated Macro Group" action to any macro, running that action, and seeing if that doesn't fix the problem. If it does, you can then delete the action and not worry about it further (or create a macro just for that action in case this happens again if you prefer, of course).
you are (obviously) right. I did not realize that the escape toggle would persist once Drafts is no longer in the foreground.
Should I replace 'activate' by one of the choices below, so escape reinitializes once the app is no longer in the foreground ?
thanks very much
No problem, but I'm afraid I don't know what you mean by Escape reinitializing. The toggle shouldn't have any effect once Drafts is no longer the frontmost app since the macro group's settings confine it to only being active in Drafts; as far as I know, there shouldn't be any need to limit the windows in which the group's macros are available. As long as you can now recall the palette if it's not present by hitting Escape when Drafts is the frontmost app, I don't think you should need to change any other of the macro group's settings.
I was confused. Sorry.
thanks again very much
